What it is
The live percentage of retail traders positioned long versus short on each major pair and cross, continuously updated — not a survey, a real-time snapshot of how the retail crowd is actually positioned right now.
How to read it
Retail positioning is widely read as a contrarian signal — when the crowd is heavily leaning one way (extreme long or short percentages), price has historically been more likely to move against the crowd than with it. A pair sitting near 50/50 has no strong crowd lean either way, and isn't a useful signal on its own.
What insight it gives you
This is one input, not a standalone signal — pair it with the fundamentals (Currency Strength, Economic Heatmap) and COT positioning before acting on it. Retail and COT can disagree: retail traders and large speculators are different populations, and a pair can be crowded long on retail while smart money is building shorts, which is exactly the kind of divergence worth knowing about before you trade.
