What it is
For every major economy, we track CPI, PPI, GDP, unemployment, retail sales, manufacturing and services PMI, consumer confidence, interest rates, trade balance, and 10-year bond yields — previous reading, current reading, consensus forecast, and how far current came in versus that forecast.
How to read it
A release "beats" when it comes in better for that economy than forecast, "misses" when it comes in worse, and is "in line" on an exact match. Unemployment is inverted automatically — a lower print is good news, so a numeric beat there is flagged as bullish for the currency, not bearish. Each country's overall read (Beating Forecasts / Mixed / Missing Forecasts) is built only from genuine consensus surprises — in-line prints and non-forecast data like bond yields are excluded, so a pile of neutral releases can't manufacture a false lean.
What insight it gives you
This is the fastest way to see whether a country's data has been surprising to the upside or downside lately, which is what actually moves currencies — markets react to the surprise relative to what was priced in, not to the headline number in isolation. Use it to confirm whether a technical move in a pair has real fundamental support behind it.
